Marketing, Public Relations and Journalism - enemies or partners?
Keywords:
Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing, CritiqueAbstract
This text addresses the triple intersection between Journalism, Public Relations and Marketing. It argues that the three are discrete but inter-related systems, each one with its own logic and structure. As Public Relations take care of the public image of an organization, Marketing is the responsible to sell products or ideas, and Journalism is grounded on the public display of information provided by sources. These differences are the reason of the diverse public response to each one - since they three are constitutive elements of public communication, they cast public interest information to the society.Downloads
