Communication as a utopia? A critical analysis of the communication utopia

Abstract

The emphasis on the technology benefits and the changes they cause in the field of communication has eviated the focus of the threats it may present. As a result, and as an alert, we mention possible dystopian characteristics of communication opposed to the utopian discourse which prevails in the contemporary communication studies.
