Explorations about the construction of hypotheses: between the method and the production contexts

Abstract

The specific object of this article is the study of the construction of hypotheses on research communication projects, considering the specifics of the empirical corpus that is being examed. The main issue guiding the article is: how deductive, inductive and abductive methods are operated in the construction of hypotheses? Trough analysis of documents and interviews with authors of investigation projects, we identify connections between the method and the production contexts, indicating tensions between construction and reproduction in the construction of the knowledge in the communication area.
