Democratic media and journalism aimed to peace

Abstract

It analyzes critically the relations between democracy, peace and development, focusing the structure of the media and the journalistic values in their importance for the success of the efforts in favour of development. Besides, it offers suggestions for an effective use of the media in development projects and training. Taking as a basis some number of examples of recent researches are shown, and some strategies for the development of a democratic media and of a journalism aimed to peace are discussed.
