Fictional memory in media culture
Keywords:
media culture, memory, adaptation, narrativeAbstract
This article aims at analyzing, in media culture, processes and forms of fictional memory apprehended by intersemiotic translation flows. The ubiquity of adaptation phenomenon, already pointed out by Bazin, and, more recently, by authors like Hutcheon, Bolter e Grusin, arranges, nowadays, a network of fictional transmutation that implies, by reconfiguring narratives in different media, variation and persistence. This study proposes, based on these theoretical aspects, to reflect on the critical and intertextual education of the “audiences” and on the aspects that compose this fictional memory, as cultural unities transmitted by media.Downloads
