The scientific colonization of ignorance

Abstract

The present article discusses the popularization of the science as privileged way of spreading the scientificist ideology. We understand by “science popularization” the action that, since the beginning of modern science in Europe, try to spread to the ordinary public, the scientist’s point of view about the world and its problems. The scientificism is not a simple ideology among others but the one that frames the development of all ideologies during 19th and 20th centuries. Scientificism is what defines the very own concept of ideology.
