Abstract

David Nebreda, diagnosed as schizophrenic, decided to abandon clinical treatments and got confined in a house in Madrid, where he practices several injuries on his own body to produce photographs and symbolize the narrative that he builds from his hallucinated events. This paper analyzes the artwork produced by Nebreda with basis on the Peircean theory regarding the terms of logic and Thirdness, because the creative act of this photographer is given from symbolic data that externalize a hallucinated reality, demonstrating the relationship between image and social inclusion.
