Fact, plot and narrative: a dialogue between Journalism and Historiography

Abstract

Can discussions about the narrative in History contribute to the problematization of the journalistic narrative? What are the troubling questions for historians and in which manner can communicologists help thinking about epistemological problems involving constructive narrative and the organization of the web of facts? This article intends to cross theoretical references from both areas, aiming at the verification of eventual interdisciplinary “intersection points” between these scientific fields, specially referring to textual linkage of the journalistic and historic narrative.
