Self-censorship as appearance practice in world of work of journalists

Abstract

Censorship and the censor are present today in Brazil in several ways. Manifests itself primarily as an economic imposition, restricting themes, personalities, aesthetic and artistic expressions; also manifests itself as a legal decision, as in the case of unauthorized biographies. Seldom, however, consider the deletion of the expressions in the world of work as a form of censorship, and, one might say, as the most draconian forms of tame expression. This article aims to analyze how practice self- -censorship of journalists in productive routine.
