Photography, Art, Communication: indicial writings

Abstract

The article discusses the transformations of real images to artistic reconfigurations, including questions of communication. Starting with the work of the artist Vik Muniz, the relations between photography, real and art are developed. The indicial origin is starting point to reflect the different layers of construction, reproduction, resubmission and observation. It will also be made a comparison with Sebastião Salgado photos. Authors such as Josep M. Català, John Berger, Margarita Ledo, Paulo Herkenhoff and Susan Sontag provide the theoretical grounding.
