Abstract

The aim of this article is to show science in its relation with plural forms of human knowledge, perceived not hierarchically, but in its differences, facing the consequent challenge imposed by the dialogue that has to be created among them. The notion of a theoretical sensitivity, which is able to think with and against the concept, with and against the reason, with and against the method, in opposition to an absolutistic knowledge vision of the scientific rationality. Comprehensive knowledge is seen here as a stimulus to think about communication through larger horizons, rather than in the narrow limits of the dominant scientific tradition.
