Abstract

In this paper the authors try to call attention to the homogenization of the news produced by different media, without depending on their presentation (printed or electronic). This homogenization is a result of the way the colleges of communication and the newspaper editors define the practice of journalism. In general, there is a subordination of news production to the audience figures and an assimilation of the dominant ideology. The theories of Bourdieu and Althusser are the basis for the arguments developed by the authors.
