Abstract

In this paper we present a brief description and problematization of some folksonomy practices inside the context of social plataforms of music. Our object of analysis is the social network site Last.fm. From an initial exploration, we´ve watched some uses of social taggin as a tool for identity construction inside musical genres through the symbolic negotiation of tags between groups of users or even through practices that make the system more complex such as subjective or masked tags.
