The imperfection in media art: culturals aesthetics aspects

Abstract

The stigma of imperfection has been observed in different epochs, cultures and mediatic discourses. A polemic statue of a physically-deficient person, whose upper and lower limbs are atrophied and an example of publicity featuring a model who ostensively exhibits a mechanical prothesis, are the instances analyzed for their impacting aspects of social and aesthetic affirmation.
