From expanded photography to detached photography: How the Kodak crisis can explain the instagram emergence or vice-versa

Abstract

This paper addresses the detached photography, which appears in the coexistence between photography, digital technologies and the culture of mobile devices. The empirical framework is the overlap between the Kodak crisis and emergency of Instagram. Tries to answer three questions on detached photography: How we look photograph? What happens to the photos when we do not look for it? Where are the detached photographs? Indicates four characteristics and bring some examples of detached photography.
