Social movements and spreadable media: collaborative practices for democratization of communication in convergence context

Abstract

Reflecting on convergence and spread of contents in a space of flows running through the mass and social media, it is proposed a debate guided by tension over the use of social media not only by movements and citizens, but also by mass media. It is observed how production, circulation and consumption of content processes are altered by collaborative practices in coexistence with practices of mass media, conducting to the bases of a hybrid model of circulation.
