Abstract

Power correlations between news sources, journalists and a newscast report of a political conflict. Findings indicate that sources, journalists and the medium are active social actors engaged in a hidden dispute of dependence and cooperation. Data also indicates the value of the narrative canon: the dramatic conflict is the structuring frame which interweaves the plot as a cognitive frame that organizes the diffuse political world.
