Abstract

This paper analyzes descriptions of prevention campaigns against Sexually Transmitted Diseases (STDs), disseminated through media by the Ministry of Health in the period preceding and during the Carnival. Based on Discourse Analysis Franco-Brazilian, we map the subject-positions and discursive formations (or matrices of meaning) that determine the interpretation that support the campaigns.
