Discourse ethics and media deliberation about racial quotas
Keywords:
discourse ethics, media deliberation, framings, racial quotasAbstract
The aim of this article is to show how discourse ethics can be applied to the media deliberation concerning racial quotas in order to promote: a better understanding of the problem in cause; the definition of the positions in dispute; a reciprocal clarification regarding personal experiences and demands of recognition. The content analysis of media texts diffused by Folha de S.Paulo and Jornal Nacional discloses how the dialogical structure of the journalistic text promotes a mediated debate organized in specific framings, perspectives, structures and discursive processes.Downloads
