Abstract

Freedom of expression, valorization of pluralism and access to information of quality are fundamental components of modern democracies. The model of European public television is a positive example of the cultural and informative diversity. After a reference to the Unesco’s Universal Declaration of Human Rights (2002), this article analyses the concept of the policy of cultural exception and the consequences of the industrial development and the technological innovation for the enlargement of the right to the cultural and multicultural identity of individuals and groups.
