Freedom of speech and rigth to information in the digital age

Abstract

The purpose of the present article is to thoroughly discuss within contemporary communication ¬– with new technology and interconnected networks – the freedom of speech and the right to information. Those are based on the democratic idea that the power emerges from the people and stands for them. Do freedom of speech and the right to information in fact expand in the digital era? In which ways? Are there new constraints to those fundamental rights? What are the new challenges?
