The concept of commons in cyberculture
Keywords:
cyberculture, commons, digital culture, collaborative practices, intellectual propertyAbstract
This article addresses the evolution of the concept of the commons in cyberculture. It analyzes the ideas of Yochai Benkler and Lawrence Lessig, comparing them with those of Michael Hardt and Antonio Negri, as well as with those of the Critical Art Ensemble. Based on the arguments of Howard Rheingold, the article explores the emergent potential of the commons and positions them within a digital ecosystem based on relationships and not on the predominance of property, as defended by John Perry Barlow.Downloads
