Abstract

This article analyzes and describes an old picture of the team of employees of Atibaia Justice Court, in São Paulo State, shot in 1929, using as approach the studies of Lorenzo Vilches, Pierre Bourdieu, Boris Kossoy and Martine Joly about photography and the reading process of the image. Based on Ecléa Bosi’s theories on remembering, the author recomposes the story of all people in the picture, interviewing three of their descendents.
