Abstract

This article analyzes the journalistic clashes between O Cruzeiro and two international magazines focusing on photojournalism, Paris Match, 1951 and Life Magazine in 1961. O Cruzeiro is definitely known as a modern magazine regarding the photojournalism at the time, defending cultural and national values, and at the same time it plays a specular game with the two magazines with landmark graphics and images.
