A triadic approach to media devices

Abstract

This article develops a triadic concept of media devices. First, it locates the choice for the triadic method in our investigations. Then, it presents a primary matrix of epistemological and theoretical reading of the media devices. We prove the fruitfulness of this perspective by discussing authors (Braga, Rodrigues, Mouillaud and Aumont) who use this concept. We conclude listing aspects of a methodology of analysis and reflection based on the propositions exposed.
