Abstract

The aim of this research is to explore the presumed vulnerability of the child public in practices of consumption and reception, both media as advertising. We perform an analysis of documents of advertising insert of “Children’s Day” and a qualitative exploratory study with ten girls. As a result, we understand the meaning produced in the reception and consumption practices of toys, media and advertising constraints, besides the role of licensed characters in the process, with family and friends.
