Reinventing journalism education:undelayble challenge on the 21st century´s dawn

Abstract

Is there any sense nowadays to ask about the utility of journalism studies? In order to answer this question, the author rescues the controversial debate on the pioneer journalism´s schools created by American and European universities last century. Moreover, he also goes back to review the Brazilian scholarship model in this field, proposing the reinvention of its pedagogical structures just to fit the emergent Knowledge Society.
